FormCalc is a tool that allows magazine publishers to calculate the number of pages needed for their magazine based on an ad/edit ratio. It also suggests the most economical form delivery to create it. This is critical in determining the formula as the US Post Office does to calculate postal costs. FormCalc also shows an estimated single-copy weight.

FormCalc considers all relevant items in determining the imposition, including advertising, editorial and circulation inserts, covers and paper stocks.
